I first met Jodi and William at The Yoga Nest a few months ago (July 2019) when I photographed a childbirth class for Dawna’s Birth Services. You can read about that here. They are one of the sweetest families I have had the pleasure of working with as a newborn photographer.
As with every Mom I meet, Jodi wanted someone who she can trust with her newborn, someone who specializes in newborn photography. It’s important to understand that when you decide to hire a newborn photographer, you choose someone who is trained and insured, so your little one is in safe hands. We always have an assistant during our newborn sessions because your newborn’s safety is always our priority.
This sweet baby came to my studio at 7 days old and she was a dream. She smiled so much, as you can see in her first family photo. Moms and Dads get a little bit of a break during their session as I pose and photograph their baby. I love that I get to snuggle each baby I photograph. That’s one of my favorite parts of photographing newborns.
A newborn photo session is sometimes a family’s first outing with their baby after they gone home from the hospital or birth center. It can be a challenge getting out of the house with a brand new baby that’s just a week old. Parent’s are often sleep deprived and it can be stressful, especially if it’s their first.
