Q: What do I need to bring to my session?
A: Just your family and food for baby! The studio has all the props, wraps, backdrops and accessories that we will need. If you have a special heirloom you want to bring, that is perfectly fine.
Q: Can my husband and kids be in the pictures?
A: Absolutely! We encourage parent and sibling poses with your new baby. Most usually, these will be your baby’s favorite images.
Q: When should I reserve my newborn session?
A: The sooner the better! However, we recommend by your 36th week. We will schedule the session about 10 days past your due date and adjust the date, if necessary, depending on when your baby arrives. We just ask you let us know when baby has been born to solidify the date.
Q: How long is a newborn session?
A: Plan for the session to last 2 hours. If parents and siblings are being included, plan on 3 hours. Snacks and refreshments are provided during your newborn session.
Q: How old should my baby be for newborn portraits?
A: We recommend babies be photographed 7-10 days old. Your baby will still retain that womb curl and still be flexible for those epic newborn poses, while staying asleep. If your baby has passed this age, I do happily accept newborns at any age.
